Faces and Voices
I bought this reusable dishcloth for a dear friend and then failed to give it to her because it spoke to me so deeply. If these unhinged times have you arguing with yourself as much as anyone else, please consider joining the next What Now Zoom.
A few of us have taken to convening monthly. The point of this gathering—elusive at first but clear to me now—is simple: it’s a chance to share, complete with faces and voices, the ideas and choices we’re each grappling with in this extraordinary political moment. All are welcome, and we have only one rule: we don’t tell each other what to think or do.
A scheduling note: We usually meet on the first Monday of the month, but the first Monday of September is a holiday. I’ve surveyed a few regulars, and it looks like two alternate Mondays could work:
Option #1: Monday, September 8th, an hour later than usual, so 6-7pm PT/9-10pm ET.
Option #2: Monday, September 22nd, at our usual time, 5-6pm PT/8-9pm ET.
If you plan to join us, and if you have a preference, please send me an email that says “Option #1” or “Option #2”. In next week’s post, I’ll give out the Zoom link and let you know which timeslot prevailed.
Thanks,
Kate
